Karen Simons: From personal interest in natural health and healing
What is the significant difference your business brings to the market?
Karen Simons: My business offers the community a viable option to distressing without drugs, reducing pain naturally and finding more meaning to life.
How did you decide on the location for your business?
Karen Simons: I rent space at My SerenTea. They decided to move from where they were and I moved with them.
How important have good employees been to your success?
Karen Simons: I am self employed and have no staff.
Describe/outline your typical day?
Karen Simons: I come in and make sure my healing room is in perfect order for the type of sessions booked for that day. My day can consist of acupuncture and cupping, energy/chakra balancing, past life regression, intuitive counselling and other types of sessions.
What has been your most satisfying moment in business?
Karen Simons: My most satisfying moment – there have been many, has been to work with someone preparing to die as peacefully as possible and wanting so much to heal unfinished business going on within them.
What has been your most successful form of marketing?
Karen Simons: Facebook has been great as well as word of mouth.
How do you build a successful customer base?
Karen Simons: By being authentic, helpful and clear as to the healing journey we are on together.
What kind of culture exists in your organization?
Karen Simons: The culture is helpful, friendly, warm, caring.
Excluding yours- what company or business do you admire?
Karen Simons: Spirit House in Devonshire offers many classes and group activities that are very healing and beneficial for people. I admire the mission of the Outerbridges, the couple who own Spirit House.
Where you see yourself and your business in 10 years? 20 years?
Karen Simons: I see myself working more in the fields of energy work and transpersonal psychotherapy.
